Masking:
The changes are effective tomorrow Monday, June 26, 2023.
Masks will be recommended but not required for staff and Essential Visitors who are not health care workers (e.g., families, friends, and Essential Caregivers who are not health care workers), as well as General Visitors. Indoor masking will ONLY be required for staff, students, volunteers and Essential Visitors who are health care workers during point-of-care risk assessment and prolonged care interactions with residents.
General Visitors with COVID-19 Symptoms: General Visitors should avoid entering the home for 10 days after COVID-19 symptom onset, if possible. If the visit is essential to the resident’s mental/physical well-being, the visitors may come into the home, wearing a mask at all times.

Help Protect Residents from Scams:
RHRA has been made aware by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) of frauds and scams targeting seniors. Fraudsters are now targeting senior residences with the Grandparent-Emergency Scam.
The OPP has shared the following advice regarding this issue:
Remain vigilant
Contact local police (non-emergency number) if there is a suspicious person attending the home that you feel requires a police response
If you suspect a resident is a victim of fraud, report it immediately to local police or the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
Spring Covid-19 Booster Vaccine
Individuals in the high-risk groups are recommended to book an appointment for a spring COVID-19 booster if it has been at least six months since their last dose or confirmed COVID-19 infection:
